Would you love the opportunity to create a work of art/craft piece with your child but are unable to find the time, space, equipment and rather it was done in an environment other than your own house? If the answer is yes then MAKE DO KANGAROO is the class for you.
create
At Make Do Kangaroo we have a passion for creative thinking and letting our imaginations run wild. Each week your child will get the chance to create unique arts and craft pieces tailored to suit the changing seasons and celebrations within the calendar year.
Our classes help parents nurture their child's creativity and imagination. We work within the community, building relationships. Creating an environment where people, both adults and children form friendships and the children grow and develop in confidence and self esteem.
We provide all art equipment & craft materials required and your little 'joeys' will be given a long sleeved apron to keep them clean(ish). At the end of the class you can go home with a masterpiece created by your child which you can keep and treasure.

DISCOVERY
MDK understands the importance of art. The freedom to express and create. This can have a huge impact in nurturing the developing mind of a child.
As the weeks progress you will see your child's skills, both social and creative, develop and evolve. They will have a greater confidence and higher self esteem seeing their wonderful creations come to life. At the same time, developing their fine motor skills, decision/problem solving and creating a gallery of fun filled memories.
memory
Duncan of Jordanstone graduate Lynsey McIntyre graduated in Printed Textiles.
I started drawing at a young age firstly being taught by my Grandad and then joining many children's art classes. Once at DoJ I discovered a love of combining drawing with other media and layering textures.
After having 2 children, I rediscovered my love of art through watching the fun and enjoyment my children got from experimenting with paint and helping them to create.
Watching the mark making develop from a line to a circle to the recognisable face, then developing more detailed drawings. As well as having the freedom to express their imaginations through making a mess ( in your eye a "mess", in their eyes its been well thought out.)
Surely I couldn't be the only parent to get enjoyment from watching this amazing development with my child and Make Do Kangaroo was born.
